Cory Maki has spent more than a decade in SEO and online reputation management, working with startups, law firms and public figures. Today he is Head of Fulfillment at Reputation Pros, where he leads the delivery of reputation and search work at scale. His focus has shifted with the search landscape. As AI systems like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews increasingly answer questions directly — citing a handful of sources instead of returning ten blue links — Cory has concentrated on Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): structuring content and reputation so those engines cite you when they answer. To make that repeatable he created the ARC Method, a framework for earning AI citations, and wrote “Reddit, AI Overviews & GEO: The SaaS Founder’s Playbook for Winning AI Search Visibility” — a practical, tested approach rather than theory. Earlier in his career, Cory was a staff editor and business development manager at Grit Daily, covering the startup sector, and he studied Business Finance at the University of Wyoming. His work and commentary have been featured across outlets including Grit Daily, Crunchbase, Medium, Amazon and Fox-17. Based in Taichung, Taiwan, Cory is fluent in English with conversational Mandarin. Outside of work he plays tennis and flag football.
